El sombrero is a small establishment hidden on the south side of Longview that serves Mexican food.

The food is very tasty and moderately priced. The service was very fast and friendly.

There were TVs showing the games that were playing. There were decorations all over the walls showing the rich Mexican heritage of the family that owns it. The smells and sounds of the kitchen give the restaurant a friendly and welcoming feel.

At El Sombrero, customers walk in and wait to be seated. You are given chips with hot sauce and green sauce, then after a few minutes the waiter comes by to take your order. The food came out quickly even though it was 6 p.m. on a Saturday night. The meals were priced about $10 per person and the portions were slightly larger than expected.

The papa nachos (which means potato nachos in Spanish) were french fries with nacho cheese on them and fajita beef with a side of white queso. They were very delicious.

The environment of the restaurant is suitable for a family. Casual attire is best suited for the restaurant. The kids menu offered a variety of American and Mexican foods for the picky eaters. All in all, this restaurant is very enjoyable and friendly.

I will definitely eat here in the future. This restaurant gets a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
